I note the dark area in the center, the cave. I wonder if you might be inspired by this (or it may be irrelevant). The Hubble telescope was once positioned for 10 days to look at a minute "empty" place in the sky. In that "empty" deep space there were found 3 thousand galaxies, 10 billion light years away. A decade later they did it again to another "empty" place in the sky, and this time went into ultra deep space and found 10K galaxies 13 billion light years away.
