I see that you are starting to add some shadows; you might want to double check your light direction. There is a little clue in one of your reference paintings that the light is coming from the left, and is a little low, so your shadows should angle away to back and to the right. Also, since the light is cool, the shadows will tend toward the warmer side... reddish purple.
